Bolaget Boycotts Aftonbladet’s Contest Due to Hooja Identity Reveal

The Masked Musicians and the Media Mayhem

In a recent twist of events, the Swedish newspaper, Aftonbladet, revealed the identities of the two members of the music duo, Hooja. Known for their signature sunglasses and snowmobile masks, the musicians have always kept their identities hidden. However, Aftonbladet’s expose has stirred up a storm of criticism from Hooja’s fans and others, leading to the band Bolaget boycotting Aftonbladet’s annual music competition, Rockbjörnen.

The Boycott Begins

Bolaget, nominated in three categories at Rockbjörnen, announced their withdrawal from the competition on Instagram. Their statement reads:

We in Bolaget choose to abstain from both participation in Aftonbladet’s Rockbjörn, and any winnings, as we believe that Aftonbladet’s outing of our friends in Hooja is disrespectful to what they have built and stand for, and also their fans.

The Aftermath

Hooja, nominated in four categories at Rockbjörnen, including “Group of the Year“, “Breakthrough of the Year“, “Fans of the Year” and “Swedish Song of the Year”, have yet to comment on whether they will participate in the competition. Their song “Banan Melon Kiwi & Citron” is nominated for the “Swedish Song of the Year“.

The Art Conclusion

In the grand orchestra of life, it seems Aftonbladet hit a sour note with their reveal, leading to a symphony of protest from Bolaget. The question remains, will Hooja face the music or follow Bolaget’s lead and boycott Rockbjörnen?

In the world of beats and bars, identities hidden like stars, Aftonbladet played a risky card, now facing a boycott hitting hard.
