No More Rolls for You!
In a recent interview with CarDealer, Rolls Royce’s CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös revealed that they’re keeping tabs on who will get to purchase the Spectre, their new electric vehicle (EV). Starting from a cool 4.5 MSEK (around $480,000), the price tag isn’t exactly a deterrent. In fact, one dealer claims to have been offered over 7 MSEK by eager buyers who didn’t make it onto Rolls’ approved list.
The Spectre of Exclusivity
It’s not just about having the dough, you’ve got to be pals with Rolls Royce too. Torsten states that they’re keeping a close eye on the cars – sell your new Spectre straight off and you’ll land on the "naughty list", never to buy a factory-fresh Rolls again. Given that one of the perks of buying a Rolls is customising it to your heart’s content, this could be a significant loss.
The Art Conclusion
So, the moral of the story? If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on a Rolls Royce Spectre, hold onto it. Flipping it for a quick profit might just land you in the automotive equivalent of the doghouse.
Now, here’s a little rhyme to keep in mind:
Rolls Royce Spectre, a car of great stature,
Sell it too soon, and it’s no more Rolls for you, that’s the rapture.
