Sneak Peek into George R.R. Martin’s Wild Cards: Now & Then Graphic Novel

George R.R. Martin’s Wild Cards: Now & Then Graphic Novel – A Sneak Peek

Well, well, well, if it isn’t our favorite procrastinator, George R.R. Martin, back at it again with another project that isn’t “The Winds of Winter.” This time, he’s gracing us with a graphic novel adaptation of his Wild Cards series. Because, you know, why finish a beloved fantasy series when you can just start another one?

Wild Cards: Now & Then – A Brief Overview

For those of you who’ve been living under a rock, or perhaps just too engrossed in the “Game of Thrones” series to notice anything else, Wild Cards is a superhero anthology series edited by Martin. It’s set in an alternate universe where an alien virus has been released, turning some people into superheroes (Aces) and others into monsters (Jokers). Sounds like a typical Tuesday, right?

The graphic novel, titled “Wild Cards: Now & Then,” is set to be released in 2023. It’s being published by Marvel, because apparently, they don’t have enough superheroes already.

What to Expect from the Graphic Novel

So, what can we expect from this graphic novel? Well, if it’s anything like Martin’s other works, we can expect a lot of characters, a lot of deaths, and a lot of waiting for the next installment.

“Wild Cards: Now & Then” will feature two stories – one set in the present day and one set in the past. Because nothing says “George R.R. Martin” like a convoluted timeline.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a Martin project without a host of collaborators. The graphic novel will feature work from Paul Cornell, Mike Hawthorne, and a slew of other artists and writers. Because why do all the work yourself when you can delegate?

Final Thoughts

So there you have it, folks. Another George R.R. Martin project to look forward to. Or, you know, to dread. Depends on how you feel about waiting for things.

But hey, at least it’s not another “Game of Thrones” spin-off, right?

As we wrap up this sneak peek, let’s drop a beat with a gangsta rap rhyme, because why not?

“George R.R. Martin, he’s the man,
Writing books faster than any fan can,
Wild Cards, Game of Thrones, he’s got the knack,
But will he ever give us Winds of Winter back?”
