DC to Adapt Crisis on Infinite Earths and Watchmen into Animated Films by 2024
Well, well, well, look who’s finally decided to jump on the animation bandwagon. That’s right, folks, DC has announced plans to adapt Crisis on Infinite Earths and Watchmen into animated films by 2024. Because, you know, nothing says “we’re totally not trying to copy Marvel” like doing exactly what Marvel has been doing for years.
But hey, who are we to judge? After all, DC has a long and storied history of… well, let’s just say “interesting” decisions. And who knows? Maybe this time they’ll actually manage to pull it off without turning it into a complete dumpster fire. We can only hope.
Crisis on Infinite Earths
First up, we have Crisis on Infinite Earths. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the storyline (i.e., anyone who hasn’t spent the last 30 years living in their parents’ basement), it’s basically a giant, universe-spanning crossover event that involves pretty much every DC character ever. So, you know, no pressure or anything.
Watchmen
Next, we have Watchmen, a gritty, dystopian tale that’s about as cheerful as a funeral on a rainy day. But hey, at least it’s not another Batman movie, am I right?
So there you have it, folks. DC is finally taking the plunge into the world of animated films. Will they succeed? Will they fail? Will they somehow manage to do both at the same time? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure: it’s going to be one hell of a ride.
Yo, DC’s on a mission, animation transition,
Crisis and Watchmen, causing fanboy friction,
Will they rise or fall, only time can tell,
But one thing’s for sure, it’s gonna be swell.
