NBCUniversal’s Tree Pruning Fiasco: A Slap on the Wrist or a Leafy Laugh?
In a turn of events that could only be described as “barking mad”, NBCUniversal has been handed a minimal penalty for their tree pruning activities during a strike. Yes, you read that right. While their employees were out on the streets, NBCUniversal was busy giving their trees a haircut.
A Strike, A Scissor, and A Sapling
The strike, which saw employees demanding better working conditions and fair pay, apparently didn’t deter NBCUniversal from their arboricultural activities. Because, you know, nothing says “we care about our employees” like a well-pruned tree.
The penalty, which is about as substantial as a leaf in a hurricane, has left many scratching their heads. But hey, at least the trees are looking sharp, right?
The Root of the Problem
The real issue here isn’t the tree pruning itself. It’s the fact that NBCUniversal thought it was a good idea to do it during a strike. It’s like throwing a party while your house is on fire. But then again, who are we to judge? Maybe they just really love their trees.
So, here’s to NBCUniversal, the company that puts the “wood” in Hollywood. Keep on pruning, guys.
“NBCUniversal, you’re so comical,
Pruning trees while your workers strike, it’s almost diabolical,
Your penalty’s minimal, it’s almost laughable,
But your trees are looking good, that’s undeniable.”
