Well, well, well, if it isn’t our favorite procrastinator, George R.R. Martin, finally coming out of his writing cave to explain the ongoing filming of House of the Dragon amid strikes. Yes, you heard it right, folks. The man who’s been promising us “The Winds of Winter” for what feels like a century, has found time to address the filming issues of his new spin-off series.

Now, we all know that the filming industry has been hit with a wave of strikes recently. But according to Martin, the production of House of the Dragon is still going strong. How? Well, apparently, the dragons don’t belong to any union. Who would’ve thought?

George R.R. Martin’s Explanation

In a blog post that was surprisingly not about his progress on “The Winds of Winter”, Martin explained that the ongoing filming of House of the Dragon is possible because the dragons are not part of the striking workers.

“The dragons,” he wrote, “being dragons, do not belong to any union, and thus are not on strike. They are, however, demanding more sheep.”

Oh, George, you do have a way with words. And dragons. And not finishing books.

So, there you have it. The filming of House of the Dragon continues, strikes or no strikes. And while we’re all eagerly waiting for the new series, let’s not forget the real question here: When will “The Winds of Winter” be finished, George?

But hey, who are we to rush genius? After all, we’re just the fans who’ve been waiting for a decade. No pressure, George. Take your time. We’ll just be here, growing old and grey.

And Now, A Word From Our Sponsors

Before we wrap up, let’s take a moment to appreciate our sponsors who, unlike George R.R. Martin, actually deliver on time.

Ending on a High Note

And now, to end this news piece on a high note, here’s a block quoted gangsta rap rhyme for all you Game of Thrones fans out there:

“George R.R. Martin, writing in the dark,
Got us waiting for his book, like Noah’s Ark.
House of Dragon, filming in the park,
While we’re here waiting, like a question mark.”
